Working Principle of a Wet Dog Food Making Machine

Raw material pretreatment: Laying the foundation for the operation of the wet fish feed making machine. Before starting the equipment, chicken powder, corn flour, multivitamins, minerals, and other raw materials need to be mixed according to the formula, with animal protein accounting for 40%-50% and starch accounting for 25%-30%, ensuring nutritional balance and shaping support. The mixed raw materials are crushed to above 100 mesh and impurities are removed by screening to avoid wear on the extruder screw and die head; then 10%-20% water is added in proportion, and stirred for 10-15 minutes until the material is evenly moistened, with the moisture content controlled at 30%-35%, achieving a state where it "can be formed into a ball by hand and does not crumble under light pressure," adapting to the feeding requirements of the extruder.
Core extrusion: The wet fish food making machine is responsible for the cooking and shaping. The pretreated material is fed into the wet extruder at a uniform speed. After the equipment starts, the twin-screw shearing friction, combined with built-in steam heating, quickly forms a low-temperature environment of 80-100℃ and a low-pressure environment of 2-4MPa. Under the action of the wet floating fish feed making machine, the starch in the raw materials is fully gelatinized, the protein is moderately denatured, and the moisture is converted into mild water vapor, giving the material a soft, porous structure. As the material is extruded from the die, the cutter simultaneously cuts it into 2-5mm pellets, suitable for dogs of different sizes. Compared to dry extruders, wet extruders do not require additional dehydration, directly producing semi-wet pellets, perfectly suited to the characteristics of wet dog food.
Post-processing steps: Sterilization, shaping, and packaging. The extruded wet pellets are immediately sent to a low-temperature sterilizer, sterilized at 70-80℃ for 15-20 minutes. Combined with the low-temperature process of the wet fish feed pellet processing machine, this maximizes the retention of vitamins, probiotics, and other active ingredients. After sterilization, the pellets are rapidly cooled to room temperature to avoid nutrient loss due to high-temperature residue. Then, vacuum filling is performed to reduce air contact and prevent oxidation and spoilage. After sealing, a second sampling inspection of moisture and hygiene indicators is conducted. Finally, labels are affixed and the pellets are stored, completing the entire production process.
