How to operate a Twin screw floating fish feed pellet making machine?

Pre-operation preparation: Establishing a solid foundation for extruder operation

First, complete raw material pretreatment. Mix fish meal, soybean meal, corn flour, and other raw materials according to the formula, grind to 80-100 mesh, screen to remove impurities, control the raw material moisture content to 12%-14%, and feed it into the hopper after thorough mixing. Next, check the condition of the Twin-Screw floating fish feed extruder machine, clean residual material from the screw, barrel, and die, add special lubricating oil, and check the wiring and steam pipes for blockages, ensuring there are no loose parts or leaks, preparing for start-up.

Start-up and commissioning: Precisely set the extruder parameters

Turn on the equipment power, activate the Twin screw pet food extruder machine preheating function, raise the extrusion chamber temperature to 120-160℃, preset the pressure to 4-6MPa, adjust the twin screw speed to 300-350r/min, and simultaneously preheat the steam system to ensure stable temperature and pressure. After preheating, start the automatic feeding system to deliver raw materials at a uniform speed. Observe the operating status of the Twin Screw Fish Feed Making Machine and fine-tune the parameters in real time. If the material is not sufficiently expanded, increase the temperature by 5-10℃. If blockage occurs, reduce the feeding speed and maintain stable pressure.

Shutdown and Finishing: Properly operate and protect the equipment

Before the end of production, stop feeding and let the Twin Screw Floating Fish Feed Pellet Extruder run idle for 2-3 minutes to discharge any residual material in the chamber. Then, turn off the heating system and gradually reduce the screw speed. Once the temperature drops below 60℃ and the pressure reaches zero, turn off the power. Finally, thoroughly clean the extruder screw, barrel, and die head. Rinse any residual material with warm water and allow to dry. Check for wear on parts and keep a record of equipment cleaning and maintenance to ensure safe operation next time.
