Grass carp are herbivorous fish, so homemade feed needs to increase the proportion of plant-based ingredients. The formula is: 25% corn flour, 30% wheat bran, 20% soybean meal, 15% grass meal, 5% fish meal, and 5% minerals. For the appropriate Small Fish Feed Extruder Machine, adjust the parameters as follows: Grass carp feed needs a slightly firmer texture to improve water resistance. Therefore, set the extruder temperature to 135-140℃, screw speed to 300-350 rpm, and extrusion pressure to 5-6 MPa to achieve higher pellet density and water resistance for 3-5 hours, preventing rapid disintegration in water. Choose a die with a 2-3mm aperture to produce medium-sized pellets, suitable for grass carp feeding habits.

Tilapia are omnivorous fish with moderate protein requirements. The formula is: 30% corn flour, 25% soybean meal, 15% fish meal, 20% wheat bran, 8% bone meal, and 2% vitamins. Extruder parameter adjustments: Temperature 125-135℃, screw speed 350-400 r/min, extrusion pressure 4-5 MPa, ensuring full starch gelatinization and improving digestibility and absorption. Tilapia grow quickly, so a 3-4mm aperture die and 4-5mm pellet length can be selected to meet their rapid feeding needs. If the ambient temperature is low (winter), the extrusion temperature can be appropriately increased to 135-140℃ to increase feed energy density.

Ornamental fish (such as goldfish and koi) are small and feed slowly, requiring higher feed quality and pellet size. The formula is: 15% corn flour, 25% soybean meal, 30% fish meal, 15% shrimp meal, 10% wheat bran, and 5% vitamins. Small fish feed pellet making machine parameter adjustments: Temperature 120-130℃ to avoid high temperatures destroying vitamins and affecting the fish's color; screw speed 400-450 rpm to increase extrusion, making the pellets crisper and easier to digest; select a 1-1.5mm fine-aperture die head with a cutting length of 2-3mm to suit the small-mouthed feeding habits of ornamental fish. Additionally, a small amount of astaxanthin can be added after extrusion via post-spraying to enhance the brightness of the fish's color.

When adjusting the small fish feed maker machine parameters, it is important to conduct a small-batch trial production after each adjustment to observe the pellet condition and fish feeding behavior before mass production. When changing the die head, preheat the extruder for 5-8 minutes to ensure temperature stability and avoid fluctuations in the forming effect due to changes in the die head aperture. Precise matching of the formula and extruder parameters allows homemade feed to better suit the needs of different fish species, improving feeding activity and growth rate, and resulting in more vibrant fish colors.
