The equipment maintenance of a floating fish meal production line is far more challenging than that of a livestock and poultry feed production line because the high moisture and high salt content of the raw materials accelerates equipment corrosion and wear. A feed mill in Zhejiang Province reduced its production line downtime from 8 hours per month to 1 hour by establishing a scientific equipment maintenance system, increasing production efficiency by 15%. Equipment maintenance techniques need to be implemented for each piece of equipment and each stage, focusing on three core components: vulnerable parts, the transmission system, and the electrical system.

Vulnerable parts maintenance requires "regular inspection and early replacement." The ring die and pressure roller of the pellet mill are core vulnerable parts. Daily inspections are necessary to check for blockages in the ring die holes and wear on the surface texture of the pressure rollers. If the die holes are blocked, use a special cleaning needle to unclog them one by one, and apply anti-rust oil afterward. Replace the pressure rollers immediately when the wear depth exceeds 1mm. The hammers and screens of the crusher need weekly inspections. Hammers should be flipped over promptly after wear, and replaced when the wear exceeds 2mm. Screens with holes should be repaired or replaced immediately to prevent substandard raw materials from entering subsequent stages. The mixing blades of the conditioner need to be inspected every two weeks to remove any adhering material. If the blades are deformed, they should be corrected promptly to ensure uniform mixing.

The core maintenance of the transmission system in the fish meal making production line is "adequate lubrication and corrosion prevention." The gearbox requires weekly checks of the lubricating oil level, maintaining it between the indicated marks. Replace the oil immediately if it becomes cloudy or blackened, using No. 46 anti-wear hydraulic oil. When changing the oil, thoroughly clean the inside of the gearbox with diesel fuel. The motor bearings require daily application of lithium-based grease and quarterly disassembly and inspection. Replace the bearings immediately if ball bearings are found to be peeling or the seals are aging. Due to the high humidity in the aquatic feed production environment, transmission components are prone to rust. Exposed transmission components should be coated with anti-rust oil monthly, and covered with plastic film after equipment shutdown to prevent moisture damage.

The electrical system maintenance of the floating fish food production line requires "moisture and dust prevention, and real-time monitoring." Electrical control cabinets must be equipped with dehumidifiers to maintain internal humidity below 60%. Before starting the machine each day, use a blower to dry the inside of the control cabinet. Check wiring connections for condensation or oxidation/rust; if rust is found, sand it down and apply conductive grease. Sensors are crucial to the electrical system; temperature and moisture sensors must be calibrated weekly to ensure accurate data. If data drift occurs, adjust or replace them promptly. During equipment operation, motor current and voltage must be monitored in real time. If the current exceeds 10% of the rated value, immediately reduce the feed rate and check for material blockages or equipment jamming to prevent motor overload and burnout.

Establishing an equipment maintenance log is an important technique for preventing malfunctions. Record in detail the maintenance time, maintenance content, and replacement of vulnerable parts for each piece of equipment. Summarize equipment wear patterns using log data, develop replacement plans in advance, and avoid production interruptions due to sudden malfunctions.
